How we use your details

When you sign up, we ask for your name, email address and WhatsApp number, your child's full name and age, your city and how you heard about us. You can also answer three optional questions: your child's type of schooling, what you want most for your child, and the language you speak at home. You get the gift pack whether or not you answer them.

We also record, automatically, the date and time you sign up, the post or link that brought you to us, and whether you use a phone or a computer. We count how many people start the form without finishing it, without keeping any of their details. To keep the form safe, the page also uses one cookie for its security check, and keeps a scrambled form of your internet address to stop the form being sent many times in a row.

We never ask for your child's date of birth, school name or photo, your home address or your income.

Your child's name stays private. We never show it in public, in a post, in a chart or in anything we share. Only Kyzm Academy's founder and the software we use to run Kyzm Academy, including AI assistants, can see it. We use it only in our emails and messages to you.

We use your details to send you the gift pack for your child's age group; then one or two more emails about the curriculum and what we offer, free and paid; and WhatsApp messages: short notices, such as a reminder or a note that something is ready, and messages about the curriculum and what we offer. We also use your answers to learn which posts, links and ads bring parents to us and what parents want for their children, so that we can improve what we make. Our reports show totals only, never your name or your child's name.

When it is switched on, the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, runs on our sign-up page and its thank-you page. It uses cookies to tell Meta when someone visits the sign-up page or signs up, so that we can see which of our ads work. It never sends Meta what you type in the form. If you tick the second box on the form, we may also give Meta your email address and WhatsApp number, scrambled before they leave us, so that Meta can show our ads to other parents like you and stop showing them to parents who have already signed up. Meta uses them only for this matching and then deletes them. If you leave that box empty, we do not give them to Meta. We never give Meta your name or any detail about your child.

Meta and other companies may use cookies and similar technology on this and other websites to measure ads and to choose which ads you see. To opt out of ads chosen this way, use the ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account, or visit www.aboutads.info/choices. To take your email address and number out of our ads lists at any time, write to us at the address below.

Your details are kept in our email service, Sender, in our Google account and in our WhatsApp accounts. They reach Sender and our Google account through Make, an automation tool that keeps no copy of them. We never sell your details or give them to anyone else, apart from the scrambled matching with Meta above, and only if you ticked the second box.

Every email has an unsubscribe link, and every WhatsApp message says how to stop them. Unsubscribing from our emails also stops our WhatsApp messages and takes you out of our ads lists within a week.

We keep your details until you unsubscribe. Within 90 days after that, we delete your name, email address and WhatsApp number, and your child's name and age, from our sign-up list and our email service. We keep only your child's age group, the dates and the answers that name no one, such as your city and how you heard about us, to count sign-ups. Emails and WhatsApp messages you sent us yourself are kept separately; write to us if you want them deleted too.

To see, correct or delete your details, or to ask us not to use them for ads, write to us at hello@kyzmacademy.com.
